Availability by country
The table below separates country-specific gift cards from global prepaid options in the public catalog checked on October 20, 2026. It is a set of confirmed country examples, not a promise that every Asian destination or every brand is available.
| Available option | Country examples | What to select |
|---|---|---|
| Country-specific gift cards | Bahrain, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, the UAE, and Vietnam | Choose a product issued for the recipient’s country. The countries do not all have the same brands or denominations. |
| Global prepaid options, with no country-specific gift card listed in this catalog snapshot | Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia | The Global Visa Reward Card is listed for these destinations. Other supported global products may also appear. |
| Blocked destinations in Asia | Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Syria, and Yemen | These destinations are on Giftronaut’s published blocked-country list. See Restrictions below. |
For a branded send, match the recipient’s country, the product’s currency, and its allowed amount before ordering. A country missing from your account dropdown can also mean that account-level enablement is needed. Contact support@giftronaut.com with the destination and product you need. A missing country guide does not mean that the country has no catalog.
Illustrative Choice Card journey. Brands, amounts, and currency examples shown are illustrative; available options depend on the recipient’s country and order settings.
Country guides
These published guides give concrete examples of local products:
- Japan: Amazon JPY Gift Card, Apple Gift Card, and Starbucks Digital Drink Ticket. Gift card options in Japan.
- India: Amazon Shopping Voucher, Myntra, and BookMyShow. Gift card options in India.
- The Philippines: GrabFood, GrabGifts, and ZALORA. Gift card options in the Philippines.
- The UAE: Amazon.ae, Noon, and Reel Cinemas. Gift card options in the UAE.
Brand names are country-specific products. A card issued for one country does not become usable elsewhere simply because the same retailer operates there. Use the current catalog to confirm the exact country product and denomination.
Countries without a local gift card
Saudi Arabia is one example where the published catalog provides global products instead of local gift cards. The Global Visa Reward Card is an option for eligible recipients in the destinations listed above. It is a USD prepaid card, with its own country and merchant restrictions; see International Visa gift cards for acceptance and usage terms.
A Choice Card lets recipients choose from the options available at redemption. If the destination is not covered by the examples above, confirm that destination with support before promising a particular reward. Do not use another country’s branded card as a substitute.
Currency and spending fees
Your account balance and order total stay in USD. Local products use the relevant currency: Japan’s guide describes JPY products, India’s INR products, and the Philippines’ PHP products. When a Choice Card is redeemed into a different currency, the redemption-time exchange rate applies. See Understanding Currency Conversion with Giftronaut Choice Card.
Choice Card currency conversion and spending with a global prepaid card are different steps. Global Visa non-USD purchases have separate international and FX charges, detailed in International Visa gift cards. If you enable cash payouts, use Payout Options for the payout fee rules.
Restrictions
Giftronaut’s international recipient guide lists Afghanistan, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Libya, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen as blocked destinations. These countries have no selectable product in the catalog, so they cannot be selected for a country-specific order. The guide also states that access is blocked from these destinations.
This is different from a supported country that needs enablement on your account. Do not assume that support can enable a blocked destination, and do not select a different country to bypass the restriction.
FAQs
Can a recipient split a Choice Card across more than one brand?
Yes. A recipient can divide the reward among available brands. See Redeeming your gift card.
Can I limit the brands recipients can choose?
Yes. Use the category and Advanced Catalog Filters in the order setup. Filters apply to that order; see Customizing your Choice Card catalog.
Can recipients in Japan read the reward in Japanese?
Yes. Japanese is a supported message language, and recipients can change the display language on the redemption page. See Sending gift cards in a recipient's language.
Can I correct an email address after sending?
The original sender can update the address and resend the same reward. Recipients cannot change the sending address themselves; see Resending & correcting emails.
