Connect HubSpot and Giftronaut MCP in the same AI conversation to turn CRM activity into gift card sends — no exporting lists or matching emails by hand.
What this combination does
HubSpot's MCP server gives your AI assistant access to your CRM data — contacts, companies, deals, and tickets. Giftronaut MCP gives it access to your gift card catalog, recipients, and orders. Together, they let you turn a HubSpot event into a reward, without leaving the conversation.
Common workflows include:
- Rewarding the deal owner or primary contact when a deal is marked Closed Won
- Sending a thank-you gift after a support ticket is resolved
- Recognizing contacts who complete a demo or trial milestone
- Logging the gift back on the HubSpot record once it's sent
Before you start
You need both connected and confirmed working on their own before combining them.
For Giftronaut MCP:
- A Giftronaut developer account
- At least one active app, sandbox or production
- Giftronaut MCP connected to your AI client — see the Giftronaut MCP setup article
For HubSpot MCP:
- A HubSpot account with permission to authorize a new connected app
- An MCP-compatible AI client — HubSpot's official MCP server works with any MCP-compatible AI tool, connecting through OAuth
- HubSpot Super Admin or App Marketplace access to authorize it the first time
HubSpot's setup steps vary by AI client. See HubSpot's MCP documentation for the current setup guide.
Confirming Giftronaut MCP
If Giftronaut MCP is already connected, confirm it's still working before proceeding:
- "Check my Giftronaut balance."
- "List my most recent gift card orders."
Once both respond correctly, you're ready to run combined workflows.
What you can do
Reward closed-won deals
Turn a newly closed deal into a thank-you gift for the primary contact, and log it back on the deal record automatically.
Example prompt
"Find all HubSpot deals marked Closed Won this month over $5,000. For each one, look up the primary contact's email and draft a $75 Choice Card with the message 'Thank you for your business.' Show me the list before sending, then log the gift on each deal."
Say thank you after a resolved ticket
Send a goodwill gesture after your support team closes out a difficult ticket.
Example prompt
"Find any high-priority HubSpot tickets closed in the last 7 days. Match the contact email to my Giftronaut recipients, and draft a $25 gift card for each with a thank-you message. Show me a summary before sending."
Recognize contacts who hit a milestone
Reward contacts who complete a demo or trial, without checking HubSpot manually.
Example prompt
"Pull the list of HubSpot contacts who moved to 'Trial Completed' this week. Add any who aren't already in my Giftronaut recipients, then send each a $30 Choice Card with the message 'Thanks for trying us out.'"
Log gifts back on the HubSpot record
Keep your CRM in sync by logging every gift on the associated contact or deal.
Example prompt
"For the last 5 gift cards I sent, log a note on the matching HubSpot contact with the amount and date sent."
Tips
Match by email. HubSpot and Giftronaut both use email as a common identifier — prompts like "match by email" help the assistant link the two systems accurately.
Work in batches. For large lists, preview a small subset first to verify the data before sending to everyone.
Use sandbox mode while building new workflows. No real gift cards are sent until you switch to production.
FAQs
Does the assistant automatically pull HubSpot data into Giftronaut?
No. Each MCP is a separate connection. The assistant can query both in one conversation, but it only cross-references them when your prompt asks it to.
What if a HubSpot contact isn't in my Giftronaut recipient list yet?
Ask your assistant to create the missing recipients first: "Add any contacts not already in my Giftronaut recipients."
Does this work regardless of which Giftronaut environment I use?
Yes — sandbox or production, as long as the app you connected is active.
Does this work with any AI assistant?
It works with any MCP-compatible AI client that supports HubSpot's official MCP server. Check HubSpot's documentation for client-specific setup steps.
Where can I see activity from both tools?
Giftronaut MCP activity is logged in your Giftronaut request log dashboard. HubSpot MCP activity appears in your HubSpot account's Connected Apps settings.
