What this combination does
A Google Sheets MCP server gives your AI assistant access to your spreadsheets — reading and writing rows, columns, and sheets. Giftronaut MCP gives it access to your gift card catalog, recipients, orders, and balance. Together, they let you turn Giftronaut activity into a spreadsheet report, or a spreadsheet list into a batch of gift cards.

Before you start
You need both connected and confirmed working on their own before combining them.
For Giftronaut MCP:
- A Giftronaut developer account
- At least one active app, sandbox or production

For Google Sheets MCP:
- A Google account with access to the spreadsheets you want to use
- A Google Sheets MCP server added to your AI client
Google doesn't publish one official MCP server for Sheets the way Giftronaut, HubSpot, and Slack do. Check your AI client's connector or MCP directory for an available option, and follow that provider's own setup instructions.
Confirming Giftronaut MCP
If Giftronaut MCP is already connected, confirm it's still working before proceeding:

Keep column headers consistent, like Email, Name, and Amount, so your assistant can map them correctly.
Work in batches. For large lists, preview a small subset first to verify the data before sending to everyone.
Use sandbox mode while building new workflows. No real gift cards are sent until you switch to production.
FAQs
Does the assistant automatically sync Giftronaut and Google Sheets?
No. Each MCP is a separate connection. The assistant reads or writes to your sheet only when your prompt asks it to.
What if my spreadsheet has extra or missing columns?
Tell your assistant which columns to use: "Use the columns named Email and Amount" or "Use only columns B and F."
Does this work regardless of which Giftronaut environment I use?
Yes — sandbox or production, as long as the app you connected is active.
Where can I see activity from both tools?
Giftronaut MCP activity is logged in your Giftronaut request log dashboard. Google Sheets MCP activity depends on which provider you connected — check that provider's own activity or usage logs.
