Connect Salesforce and Giftronaut MCP in the same AI conversation to turn your CRM data into gift card sends — no exporting contact lists or manually matching emails.
What this combination does
Salesforce's MCP server gives your AI assistant access to your CRM data — accounts, contacts, opportunities, and cases. Giftronaut MCP gives it access to your gift card catalog, recipients, and orders. Together, they let you turn a CRM event — a closed deal, a resolved case, a renewal — into a reward, without leaving the conversation.
Common workflows include:
- Rewarding the account owner or contact on a newly closed-won opportunity
- Sending a thank-you gift after a high-priority support case is resolved
- Recognizing reps who hit quota for the month
- Sending renewal or loyalty gifts to contacts on accounts nearing a contract anniversary
Before you start
You need both MCPs connected and confirmed working on their own before combining them:
- A Salesforce org with permission to create or use an External Client App (Connected App) enabled for Salesforce's hosted MCP server
- Your Giftronaut developer account and at least one active app
- An MCP-compatible AI client that supports connecting to more than one remote MCP server
Setting up both MCPs in the same client
Connecting Salesforce MCP
Salesforce's hosted MCP server uses OAuth, similar to Giftronaut's own connection flow. The exact configuration screen depends on which AI client you use — Salesforce maintains client-specific setup guides at developer.salesforce.com. In general:
- In Salesforce Setup, create or select an External Client App (Connected App) enabled for the hosted MCP server, and note its OAuth Client ID.
- In your AI client, add a new remote MCP server using your org's Salesforce MCP server URL and that Client ID.
- When prompted, sign in to your Salesforce org through the browser redirect and approve access.
- Confirm the connection with a read-only prompt: “List my open opportunities.”
Follow Salesforce's own setup guide for your specific AI client.
Confirming Giftronaut MCP
If Giftronaut MCP is already connected, confirm it's still working before proceeding:
- “Check my Giftronaut balance.”
- “List my most recent gift card orders.”
Once both respond correctly, you're ready to run combined workflows.
What you can do
Reward closed-won deals
Turn a newly closed deal into a thank-you gift for the account contact, without pulling a report first.
Example prompt
“Find all Salesforce opportunities that closed won this month over $10,000. For each one, look up the primary contact's email and draft a $75 Choice Card with the message 'Thank you for your business.' Show me the list before sending.”
Say thank you after a resolved case
Send a goodwill gesture after your support team closes out a difficult case.
Example prompt
“Find any high-priority Salesforce cases closed in the last 7 days. Match the contact email to my Giftronaut recipients, and draft a $25 gift card for each with a thank-you message. Show me a summary before sending.”
Recognize reps who hit quota
Reward performance without manually cross-checking a spreadsheet.
Example prompt
“Pull the list of sales reps in Salesforce who hit 100% of quota this quarter. Add any who aren't already in my Giftronaut recipients, then send each a $100 Choice Card with the message 'Congrats on a great quarter.'”
Send renewal or anniversary gifts
Flag upcoming contract anniversaries and follow up with a gift before you reach out for renewal.
Example prompt
“Find Salesforce accounts with a contract renewal date in the next 30 days. Cross-check the primary contacts against my Giftronaut recipients and add anyone missing under a group called 'Q3 Renewals.' Then draft a $50 Choice Card for that group with the message 'Thanks for being a customer.'”
Tips
- Salesforce and Giftronaut both use email as the common identifier — prompts like “match by email” help the assistant link the two systems accurately.
- Work in batches for large lists. Preview a small subset first to verify the data before sending to everyone.
FAQs
Does the assistant automatically pull Salesforce data into Giftronaut?
No. Each MCP is a separate connection. The assistant can query both in one conversation, but it only cross-references them when your prompt asks it to.
What if a Salesforce contact isn't in my Giftronaut recipient list yet?
Ask your assistant to create the missing recipients first: “Add any contacts not already in my Giftronaut recipients.”
Where can I see activity from both tools?
Giftronaut MCP activity is logged in your Giftronaut request log dashboard. Salesforce MCP activity appears in your org's setup and event monitoring, depending on configuration.
