Zapier MCP gives your AI assistant access to any app you've already connected in Zapier — Google Sheets, Typeform, HubSpot, Slack, and more. Paired with Giftronaut MCP, you can turn an event in any of those tools into a gift card send, without building a Zap first.
What this combination does
Zapier MCP exposes the triggers, searches, and actions from apps you've connected in your Zapier account as tools your AI assistant can call directly. Giftronaut MCP gives it access to your gift card catalog, recipients, and orders. Together, they let your assistant pull data from whatever tool your reward request started in, and act on it in Giftronaut — in one conversation.
Common workflows include:
- Sending a reward when a form or spreadsheet gets a new entry, like a contest or giveaway signup
- Rewarding contacts pulled from a connected CRM or marketing tool
- Turning a Slack request into a gift card send
- Checking a Zap's recent activity alongside a Giftronaut order
Before you start
- A Zapier account with the apps you want to use already connected, for example: Google Sheets, Typeform, or HubSpot
- Access to Zapier MCP to create a server and choose which actions to expose
- Your Giftronaut developer account and at least one active app
- An MCP-compatible AI client that supports connecting to more than one remote MCP server
Setting up both MCPs in the same client
Connecting Zapier MCP
- Go to Zapier MCP and create a new MCP server.
- Choose which of your connected apps and actions to expose as tools — only enable what you plan to use.
- Copy the unique MCP server URL Zapier generates.
- In your AI client, add Zapier as a new remote MCP server using that URL. Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, and Windsurf support Zapier's built-in OAuth; other clients use a token instead, as a header or URL parameter.
- Confirm the connection with a read-only prompt using one of the tools you exposed, for example: “List my recent Typeform responses.”

Confirming Giftronaut MCP
If Giftronaut MCP is already connected, confirm it's still working before proceeding:
- “Check my Giftronaut balance.”
- “List my most recent gift card orders.”
Once both respond correctly, you're ready to run combined workflows.

Send a gift card to anyone who fills out a form or gets added to a spreadsheet, without setting up an automated Zap for it.

Tips
- Only expose the Zapier apps and actions you actually plan to use in this workflow — you can always add more later.
- Each successful tool call through Zapier MCP consumes two tasks from your Zapier plan.

Does Zapier MCP require me to build a Zap first?
No. It exposes actions from apps you've already connected in Zapier directly to your AI assistant — no Zap needs to exist.
Does the assistant automatically move data between the connected app and Giftronaut?
No. The assistant only cross-references the two when your prompt asks it to.
Does this use up my regular Zapier tasks?
Yes — each action your assistant calls through Zapier MCP counts against your plan's task usage, same as an automated Zap.
Where can I see activity from both tools?
Giftronaut MCP activity is logged in your Giftronaut request log dashboard. Zapier MCP activity appears in your Zapier MCP server history.
