Are recipients charged any fees?
Standard gift cards and prepaid cards have no fees for recipients — the full value is available to use with no activation, redemption, or hidden charges. Cash Options (such as PayPal or Venmo) are the exception: if the sender chooses to have the recipient cover the redemption fee, it's deducted from the amount the recipient redeems. What about Visa gift cards?
Visa virtual gift cards are also free to receive and redeem. There are no activation or redemption fees charged to recipients.
