Important limitations and best practices
Country use:
- US Virtual Visa: usable only within the United States (including DC).
- Canada Virtual Visa: usable only within Canada.
Non-reloadable & expiration:
- The card is single-load and cannot be reloaded.
- It expires 6 months from issuance or when the balance reaches $0, whichever comes first. Please use it promptly.
- Stay within balance: Purchases (including tax, fees, shipping, tips, or holds) must be at or below your available balance, or the transaction will decline.
- No VPN: Do not use a VPN when activating or making purchases; it can trigger fraud checks and cause declines.
- Commonly not supported: ATM withdrawals, cash back at point of sale, cash advances, recurring/subscription billing, offline or manual-imprint transactions, and some high-risk merchant categories.
- Gratuity/tolerance holds: Restaurants and similar merchants may pre-authorize up to ~20% more to cover tips. Ensure your balance can cover this temporary hold.
