With the Giftronaut Refund Option, you can reclaim 70% of the value of unredeemed gift cards so you can repurpose those funds for future use.
This setting is applied per order and is designed to protect your budget on time-bound or response-dependent campaigns.
What it does
Reclaims 70% of any unredeemed gift card value back to your Giftronaut's balance.
Shortens the redemption window for recipients from 180 days to 30 days for the order.
Enables recipient-level redemption status tracking.
When to use it
Tight deadlines: Research studies, event follow-ups, or limited-time incentives.
Expected non-responses: Programs where a portion of recipients may not act, and you want budget protection.
How it works
By default, Giftronaut gift cards have a 180-day redemption period.
If you enable the Refund Option for an order, the redemption period becomes 30 days.
Once a recipient redeems a Giftronaut Choice Card into a specific brand, that brand’s own terms apply (many brands do not expire, but always follow the brand’s terms).
Important details and limitations
Eligibility: Only the unredeemed portion is eligible for reclamation. Cards already redeemed (fully or partially) are not eligible.
Timing: Reclamation occurs automatically after the 30-day window closes for that order.
Scope: The Refund Option is applied at the order level and cannot be retroactively applied once the order is sent.
Recipient experience: Recipients will see a 30-day deadline on their redemption email for orders with the Refund Option enabled.
How to enable it
When placing your order, locate Giftronaut Refund Option when you schedule your order and toggle it On.
Review the order summary (you will see Refund Option noted) and click Confirm.
How to track reclaimed funds
Go to Order Management → Order History, click on the order, and review per-recipient redemption status.
After 30 days, reclaimed amounts are automatically added to your available balance.
For tracking, view the Account Balance tab and export a CSV if needed. To view only reclaim entries, use the Status filter and select Refund.

Can I enable the Refund Option after the order is sent?
No. It must be enabled before sending the order.
Will recipients be reminded before the 30-day deadline?
Giftronaut does not send reminder emails. You can schedule reminders through your own outreach or program workflow.
