Giftronaut affiliates can receive credit through an Affiliate Link or a Lead Form.
Use your Affiliate Link for content-based promotion and the Lead Form for warm introductions where you already know the prospective customer.
Affiliate Links
Your Affiliate Link is the unique link issued to you after approval. You can share it in relevant emails, newsletters, blog posts, LinkedIn posts, websites, or other approved channels.
When a prospective customer signs up through your Affiliate Link, Giftronaut stores your Affiliate Code on that customer’s company account at sign-up.
- Affiliate Link attribution is based on last-touch at sign-up.
- If a prospect clicks multiple Affiliate Links before signing up, the Affiliate Code stored at sign-up controls link-based attribution.
- Affiliate Link attribution does not expire after sign-up.
Lead Form Submissions
The Lead Form is best for warm introductions, direct referrals, or prospective customers where you have a real business relationship or introduction basis.
A valid Lead Submission creates a 180-day lead attribution window starting from the date and time of submission.
- If the lead signs up during that 180-day window, the account is generally attributed to the affiliate who submitted the valid lead.
- If the lead does not sign up within 180 days, the lead claim expires automatically.
- After expiration, future attribution follows Giftronaut’s standard rules, including valid Lead Submissions or Affiliate Link attribution.
Which Method Takes Priority?
A valid Lead Submission takes priority over Affiliate Link attribution during the active 180-day lead attribution window.
| Scenario | How attribution usually works |
| A valid Lead Form is submitted and the company signs up within 180 days | The Lead Submission usually takes priority |
| No active Lead Submission exists, but the customer signs up through an Affiliate Link | Last-touch Affiliate Link attribution applies at sign-up |
| Multiple affiliates submit the same or overlapping lead | The first valid Lead Submission generally wins |
| The submitted lead is already an active opportunity or existing customer | The referral may be excluded |
Important Clarification
The 180-day window is a lead attribution window for Lead Form submissions. It is not cookie-based tracking and does not limit Affiliate Link attribution after sign-up.
Affiliate Link attribution is stored at sign-up. Clicks and impressions may be informational, but the stored attribution record is what controls link-based attribution.
When a Referral May Not Qualify
- The company is already a Giftronaut customer.
- The company is already in an active sales cycle or demo process.
- The lead is incomplete, duplicate, fabricated, scraped, purchased, stale, or submitted without a real introduction basis.
- The referral involves self-attribution, related-party transactions, or another prohibited activity.
- The referral violates the Giftronaut Affiliate Program Policy.
FAQ
Does my Affiliate Link expire?
No. Affiliate Link attribution is stored at sign-up and does not expire after sign-up.
Is the 180-day lead attribution window cookie-based tracking?
No. The 180-day window applies only to Lead Form submissions. It is not cookie-based tracking.
What happens if two affiliates refer the same company?
The first valid Lead Submission generally wins. If there is no active Lead Submission, link-based referrals use last-touch attribution at sign-up.
Can Giftronaut manually review attribution?
Yes. Giftronaut may review attribution disputes, duplicate leads, existing opportunities, fraud concerns, or operational errors using the best available records.
Who should I contact with attribution questions?
Email support@giftronaut.com with the company name, contact details, and a clear description of the issue.
