What is Zapier and how does it work?
Zapier is a platform that automates workflows across 5,000+ apps, with no coding required.
A ‘Zap’ is an automated workflow that connects your apps together. Some Zaps are pre-built for your convenience. However, if you can’t find the one you need, you can always build your own Zap.

Trigger: An event that starts the workflow. Zapier will look for triggers once set up.
For example, if you want to send rewards when someone fills out a form in a spreadsheet, the trigger could be "New Spreadsheet Row."

To send rewards through Giftronaut, the action would be "Send Reward."

With Giftronaut, you can send email rewards using thousands of Zapier triggers, such as survey responses, form submissions, CRM events, HR events, and more.

How do I set up the integration?
1. Choose a pre-built Zap.
To get started quickly, choose from our popular pre-built Zaps.
Once selected, connect with Giftronaut using the Zap to streamline your workflow.
2. Build your own Zap.
- Log in to Zapier and click "Create Zap".
- Select your desired app and trigger event.
- Log in to approve the selected app.
- Choose the event that will trigger the reward from Giftronaut.
- Under 'Action,' search for Giftronaut.
- Select the event you wish to run in Giftronaut when there is a trigger.
- Log in to Giftronaut by clicking the 'Sign In' button under 'Account.'
- After logging in, fill out the required form to send the reward.
- Email (Required): Enter the recipient’s email.
- Name (Required): Enter the recipient’s name.
- Reward Campaign (Required): Select an existing Giftronaut campaign template for personalized rewards. See how to create a new campaign template here.
- After logging in, fill out the required form to send the reward.
- Confirm before testing.
- Before testing, make sure to activate "Require approval for orders placed through Zapier" in Giftronaut → Settings → Control Center.
- If not enabled, the test order will be sent without manual approval.

Test the connection to ensure everything is working as expected.
By default, all Zapier orders in your account require approval.
You can review your test orders in Integration → Pending Order List.
Once the test is confirmed, you can cancel the test order and disable the approval requirement for Zapier in Control Center → "Require approval for orders placed through Zapier."
Disabling this will trigger the payment automatically without approval.
However, if you prefer to review each order before sending, you can leave the approval requirement on.
- Publish the Zap.
Once everything looks good, click "Publish".
Zapier will automatically send rewards from your account whenever a trigger event occurs.
Please note: If your account balance is insufficient, you will receive a notification via email, prompting you to add more funds.

All payments triggered by Zapier will appear on your Order Management page.
How much does the Zapier integration cost?

What is order approval, and how does it affect orders made via Zapier?
Upon first integrating with Zapier, you will need to manually approve all Zapier-triggered orders. This means that orders won't be processed immediately, but placed in the Pending Order List for your review.
Order approval is initially set to 'required' to prevent actual rewards from being sent during testing. You can disable it at any time in the Control Center.
Once the test runs successfully, you can disable the approval requirement, allowing orders to proceed automatically. (Please note that your funds will be used for testing rewards, so be cautious.)
What should I do if I run into errors when testing a Zap?
Make sure the recipients' emails are correct. Also, check your available balance on Giftronaut. In the case of insufficient funds, you’ll receive an email notification prompting you to add more funds.
I can't use my "Trigger" app on Zapier. What should I do?
Each individual app on Zapier is created and supported by the respective company. You can contact the specific app for assistance.
I accidentally sent a reward to the wrong email. What can I do?
You can easily resend the original card to a new email. Learn how to resend & correct emails here.
